“Who loves a garden, still his Eden keeps.” Amos Bronson

Grateful to be able to enjoy a gorgeous end-of- Spring day in Monkton, Maryland walking the grounds of Ladew Topiary Gardens. https://www.ladewgardens.com/

We live close by and have meant to visit for years. Having our rambling wings clipped a bit by the pandemic - we were excited to finally make good on this wish list visit.

The Garden is only open to members right now due to the COVID 19 outbreak and we were grateful for the responsible approach of timed entry to afford those of us visiting the ability to enjoy the beautiful scenery from a safe social distance. The house and butterfly garden were not available for viewing - a great excuse to come back again!

We explored the grounds with no direction/ maps/ or information...just enjoyed the sights as we came upon them. The weather was spectacular and so wish we could capture and share the cool breeze, warm sun and the scent that hit us as we entered the rose garden to share with you all. The images we were able to capture will need to suffice. We hope you enjoy the remnants of a magical day!

The topiary creations were amazing!

My favorite topiary display depicts a fox hunt:

Keyhole Garden

Through the Keyhole Garden you can see the " Garden of Eden" complete with statue of Adam and Eve. Of course we had to stage dorky selfie with the OGs of love!
